Sorry, guys. . . . . . That sounded more like your side projects as a member of the FLA-production. Perhaps none of the usual qualities FLA as an evolutionary step or is seems forward, but for me it felt like the whole album fell flat. Was not a fan of either Artificial Soldier. Civilization on the other side was pretty close to perfection. Guess I prefer a Fulber / Leeb Combo. If I wanted a unit 187 or an album of LSD, I would have bought one. Oh well, win some lose. Maybe the new album will please Puppy. ;-) Rating: 5.1

wow! (And not in a good way). FLA reinvents itself – only the re-invention is done by many bands long ago. what you get here is your standard mix of FLA electronic melodies, but with the addition of some very heavy guitar-thrashy numbers, one with Al Jourgensen, not less, on vocals. Yes, it’s different FLA, but SP played the same trick with rabies two decades old. Do we really need another to try to “studio band, electronics macho thrash monsters take” love? more than for the electronic songs – yes, there are a few are good, but for the most part, it’s the same bag of tricks, with some uninspired choruses, chord changes, etc., etc., the single is, above all, above all, discreet easy with his acid big beat line, which is about 10 years out of date and completely boring melody. This album will be forgotten quickly. Rating: 5.3

FLA presented their entire musical career spent developing their sound along with the ever-changing technology to them and I believe this is one of its greatest achievements ever. The programming, guitars, vocorded vocals, beats, all adds up to an amazing aural experience. I thought Bill Leeb and company take a high mark with Artificial soldiers, but here they have gone one step further. If you are a fan of electronic music, you owe it to yourself to check this. I recommend the download Shifting Through The Lense individual as well. It is a longer, better cut of the title song, there is opposed to the album on the main Edit. Get the bonus tracks also from the Deluxe Edition. One of the greatest electronic albums of all time, which speaks volumes of course this record. Rating: 5.5

Improvised Electronic Device’s Front Line Assembly’s most guitar-heavy album since its release of the Millennium hardware and back to the mid-nineties Wired. There is more emphasis here is on guitar-driven tracks as effectively to the complex, intricate electronic and sample found on Epitaph sequencing. If you are of sound on “Artificial Soldier” are, this album is definitely a continuation, but with much better values of production and presentation. However, come to the positive reception of the Artificial Soldier, I would personally consider this a very safe album, but a quality release as usual very talented musicians. The beginner to the FLA would probably fall in love with this futuristic sound just as I did in 2000 with Hard Wired. Outstanding tracks would be offensive, Shifting Through The Lens feat, and stupidity. Al Jourgensen of Ministry, although it is essentially a Ministry song. If you are new to this band, then go to Metropolis and Dependent Records websites, listen to some decent samples, such as the Amazon never quite get on past the long intro. Rating: 5.4

  5. I must say, I did not start writing in a post possibly 6 years or more. . . and this album I was on this break. “Improvised. Electronic. Device.” Incredible shock is a musical on the neck. It will fly right out of the gate from the beginning and may in fact never reached in the (very nice, btw) more introspective instrumental at the end, “Downfall”. Take a few moments from Hard Wired, Millennium, Artificial Soldier and throw them in a blender with new elements as well, and there you have it. Very abrasive and fast-moving album! Ideal for Marathoning action games, burning rubber on the highway or hit on the pads at the gym, it’s up to you. And besides, the track with Grandpa Al (ministry) really awesome that team-up FAR overdue! Was Great cd. Rating: 5.5
