This concert is currently paying ON PBS all over the USA and is a wonderful event. It was recorded in Bocelli’s Home town in Tuscany and is in a beautiful outdoor setting. The songs are all the songs from his new Hits collection plus more. Andrea Bocelli, is the world’s most popular tenor (and Best selling) and pop sensation as well, This set is all pop (crossover), Though some of it has a classical feel to it.

The Songs include a nice selection of some of Bocelli’s best work Bocelli has a very beautiful voice, that expresses much emotion. His tone and diction are excellent and his Volume is much better then the critics claim, he voice is always moving, his singing touches one’s heart and goes right into ones soul. The tracks include Songo;; Canto Della Sera duet with Sarah Brightman; a Medley, (Besame mucho Somos novios – It’s impossible Can’t Help Falling In Love); Time to Say Goodbye-Con Te Partino; (with Sarah Brightman), Vivo Per Lei- duet with Heather Headley; Melodrama; The Prayer- duet with Heather Headley; and Because We Believe; a new English/Italian version of Vivere called Dear To Live with Laura Pausani a popular Italian singer; A wonderful song called La Voce Del Silenzio duet with Elisa; a beautiful song called A TE featuring Kenny G on saxophone; A very cool classical sounding song with Lang Lang, on Piano, called IO CI SARO; and another new song, very contemporary, called BELLISSIME STELLE which may be my favorite song of the new songs. Also doen with Chris Botti is Italia a new song written by David Foster and on Botti’s new album with Andrea questing on vocals, and it is a beautiful song.

The Extra Audio CD has 7 songs Italia, live version featuring Chris Botti; La Voce Del Silenzio, featuring Elisa; Medley, (Besame mucho Somos novios – It’s impossible Can’t help falling in love) Live version; Canto Della Terra, featuring Sarah Brightman; Mille Lune Mille Onde; Se La Gente Usasse Il Cuore; and Domani, one of my favorite songs.

This is a great DVD (and or set) for any Bocelli fan, for the fan because it is beautiful and has the 6 new songs (5 new and one alternative version, Plus different partners on the Duets). And is a great set for new fans because it has many of his hits. This would be a good first DVD for someone new to Bocelli.

I’ve watched this PBS special countless times and I have already pre-ordered the DVD.

This is the best live Bocelli performance I have seen. I won’t duplicate the other reviewers breakdown of songs and musical stars, but the mid show duet with Sarah Brightman on “Canto de la Terra” blew away their closing duet of “time to say goodbye”. This new duet, (song originally released on Sueno) has raised the bar for Bocelli/Brightman collaboration. There is a chemistry there that has to be watched to appreciate.

Heather Headley turned in two powerful vocal performances that are a second favorite highlight of the concert. Headley’s vocals seem to blend extremely well with Bocelli. R&B meets Classical and the result was a stirring duet that will be hard to duplicate with anyone else.

Laura Pausini’s performance was also a warm moment in the show. As Bocelli went to his knee to sing to her, she lost her breath in the moment of being sung to by the great Bocelli.

Turn down the lights, light a few candles, put in this DVD and get lost in the romance of Bocelli’s vocals and the surreal atmosphere of Tuscany in the summer.

I was able to watch Bocelli in Tuscany a couple of days ago on a Public Broadcasting Station, and by far, this is his best performance!!!!!!! Probably the most beautiful song I have ever heard was when Bocelli was accompanied by Chris Botti! The whole program was very moving. It will touch your soul :)

I saw this live concert/interview on PBS in December 2007 and instantly fell in love with this artist. Even though I don’t understand what he’s saying in Italian, his music & lyrics touch my heart and I just had to have one of his CD’s. I asked Santa to bring me the “Under the Desert Sky” CD/DVD so I could see the concert at Lake Las Vegas. I’ve since bought “Viviere – Best Hits CD” and I listen to it all the time. I can’t wait to have “Vivere Live in Tuscany” CD.

This DVD is absolutely breathtaking. Every performance is fantastic, the video quality is superb and the DTS soundtrack rocks!

Like most people, I first saw this concert on PBS. The DVD has some additional tracks not shown on that broadcast including a great solo number by Lang Lang. There is also a nice video montage of images from Tuscany while Bocelli’s original version of “Time to Say Goodbye” plays.

The other extras are some backstage and rehearsal footage, including short interviews with most guest performers and a bonus CD.

The highlight is obviously Andrea and Sarah Brightman performing “Time to Say Goodbye.” The rendition was so perfect you would swear you were listening to a studio recording.

The only thing that could have improved the concert was Celine Dion to perform “The Prayer.” Heather Headley does a nice job with the song but who can top Celine?
